What's the dress code?

To our British guests, you know the drill, it’s smart but not black tie.

To our guests from further afield, who have been asking what British people mean when we say ‘smart’, the basic guideline is:

Buttoned long-sleeve shirts and jackets (it’s October in London, you’ll need these anyway), and trousers that are at the very least as smart as chinos;

Or a nice dress you'd wear for a wedding back home (just bear in mind October weather);

Or a shirt and skirt combo you'd wear for a wedding back home (again, think October weather).

To everyone: we’re going for subtle gothic as a theme for us and how we design stuff for and around the day. It really isn’t expected or necessary for anyone to wear anything gothic so please don’t worry about it if that's not your vibe! That said, for those of you who were just waiting for an excuse to get out your ol’ goth glad rags - you are most welcome. Also, it should go without saying that the usual “don’t wear black to weddings” thing does not apply here.

The most important thing is that everyone feels comfortable in what they are wearing and no one feels out of place. So, if you have any queries, please feel free to bug Liat directly.

Are you doing a gift registry?

Nope, we’re just happy for you to join us and celebrate on the day. If, however, you would really really like to mark the occasion, we would be honoured if you considered making a donation, on our behalf, to a cause we care very deeply about. More info on this on our JustGiving page here
